About Jayme Hernandez

Bilingual Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with certificates in ISO45001 Implementation and Auditing-earned from the American Society of Safety Professionals and Accident Investigation from the University of Texas at Arlington OSHA Training Institute. In my current position, I present construction training topics in English and Spanish following company policies and procedures. In addition, I develop training in new areas requested by my company to include Heavy Equipment training with hands-on evaluation and management team professional training. I am tasked with all jobs in the state of Texas. My last position as a Safety Manager tasked me with company job sites around the U.S. that required Safety Professional oversight. Completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Management through the University of Phoenix, with an A- average. Have also earned a credential of Certified Director of Safety (CDS) from the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI) in September 2016 for DOT/fleet experience. Certified as a D.O.T. Hazardous Materials Instructor -Nov. Currently working on a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) credential. I have 25 years of experience with behavioral-based safety programs. The soft skills that I bring are; Developing positive relationships (conflict resolution) with all stakeholders for consensus through coaching, mentoring and active support. Project management prioritization of goal setting and best practices for attainment. Safety training based on inclusion and worker buy-in for reductions in injury and incident repetition. Extensive use of metrics for analysis and plan implementation. Business acumen learned from starting at worker entry positions and advancing to upper management. A servant-leader who believes workers can work safely with no loss in production.
