About Jaymori Leonard

I'm a Senior at the University of Rhode Island, double-majoring in Civil Engineering and French in URI’s International Engineering Program (IEP). My technical interests include transportation engineering, geotechnical engineering, airport design, and air traffic control. Since joining The University of Rhode Island, I have not only joined the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), but also assumed the role of their President, and have become the NSBE Rhode Island Representative. I am also an active member of URI engineering organizations, such as Engineers Without Borders, and lastly, the American Society of Civil Engineers, where I hold the Vice President position. In the summer of 2024, I had my first engineering internship with Bowman Consulting Group, and I continued working with them during the school year through their Co-Op program. In the summer of 2025, I had another internship, as a Geotechnical Engineering Intern with Pare Corporation. Now, I am continuing with Pare Corporation, in a Co-Op position during the school year. And as I proceed in college, I hope to expand my job and internship experience in the engineering field.
