About Jayna Jennas

As an emerging medical professional, I have a passion for serving underserved communities in the Tampa Bay area. My interests are in internal medicine and preventative healthcare methods and these interests guided me to volunteer at Tampa VA's Primary Care Annex and Moffitt Cancer Center. I have seen the effects of preventative health care and how useful it can be for many patients. I intend to utilize my education to promote preventative healthcare methods and serve under-represented communities. I have always been motivated to make a difference in my community. This has led me to be engaged in volunteering and leadership. Entering the field of medicine will allow me to apply the skills I have gained at the University of South Florida. Being a part of organizations like the Pre-Medical American Medical Student Association (PAMSA) and the Brain Expansion Scholastic Training Program (BEST) has given me insight into how community organizations work. I am eager to join the medical field to improve the application of preventative medicine in underserved communities.
