About Jayne Clyne

Since joining Michael Laird Architects in January, I have embraced opportunity to be involved in a variety of interesting and dynamic projects, working with a series of clients both locally and internationally. During my second year in the design industry, I’ve further evolved my creative design skills and enhanced my technical abilities through working on engaging workplace design schemes and having opportunity to branch into creative hospitality projects. Previously a graduate interior designer working within AECOM's Strategy Plus team, my workplace designer role required involvement in delivering engaging and creative design solutions to meet each client brief. Working with AECOM presented me with the basis to vastly expand my own professional skills and design expertise through working closely with experienced designers and participating in client interaction. Working in such a position with AECOM had granted me with the opportunity to be greatly involved from concept design stage through to observing construction of the final design solution. Formerly graduating with a first class honours degree from Glasgow Caledonian University, I had developed a foundation of professional and personal skills. Skills such as design development, sourcing samples, sketching, detailing and creating computer generated images. During my studies I also had the opportunity to produce a series of project designs including office design, retail, domestic and leisure, presenting me with opportunity to explore a variety of interior design fields.
