I am passionate about an organization’s customer service and collection process – trimming days off DSO, resolving unallocated cash issues, and optimizing collection effectiveness. With my accounting background, examining a company’s financial health comes naturally to me. I thrive in organizations where I can attack financial challenges that are either known, or even unknown, to executive management, while providing superior customer service. Moving from accounting roles to collections was a great fit because I pride myself in delivering great customer service while improving internal processes. RISK MITIGATOR Laser-focused on high-risk collection categories, I ensured back end processes were in order, and developed reports to aid executive management in collection decisions. STRATEGIC PARTNER Most recently, at McDermott Will & Emery, I exceeded the firm’s collection goal 4.5% by creating a multifaceted approach to AR management and client customer service. HIGH PERFORMING TEAM BUILDER In several roles during my career I have transformed organizational structures, blending new hires with existing staff to create efficient processes, and managed Finance teams of 9 up to 30+. IT TRANSLATOR Selected to lead the ERP conversion project at Florsheim. I finished 3 months ahead of schedule, shaved 6 days off of the month-end close processes, and reduced headcount 20%. JAYNE OF MANY TRADES Exposure to multiple industries – retail/wholesale, commercial real estate, electronics, legal, and construction – has enabled me to become a fast learner and assess the financial landscape quickly.
