About Jayne Haugen
My job history outside of healthcare is in retail. I have worked for DSW shoes and a few restaurants. Those jobs did not feel like a good fit. I wanted to help people and make a difference. I applied at Champlin Shores assisted living, and fell in love with Memory Care. The residents did not always remember my name but it felt good to see them light up everytime they saw me. I knew I was making everyday a little easier for them. I was a medication tech for 4 years before starting my journey with Allina. I currently work as a patient care tech for Allina Health. I am a member of Unit Council for my unit as well as a preceptor for new hires. I have learned the health unit coordinator role very quickly and am still learning all the tools Epic has to offer. Long term, I aspire to be an RN. My plan is to graduate with my associates degree in May of 2023.
