About Jayne Lapidus Newmark

A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certified by the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Jayne has practiced for many years in the nutrition field with emphasis on cardiovascular disease, weight control, kidney disease, diabetes, digestive health including gluten intolerance and healthy eating for children. As Director of Nutrition Services at the Arizona Heart Institute, she wrote “Food for Health,” a comprehensive diet guide-book, and created “Heart Healthy Lessons for Children,” a nutrition education program for Phoenix area school children, that was also implemented by schools around the United States. As a Media Spokesperson for the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, The Arizona Department of Health Services, The Arizona Department of Agriculture and Pritikin Systems, Inc,(a subsidiary of the Quaker Oats Company), Jayne has done extensive media work including a satellite media tour and over 400 television, radio, newspaper and magazine interviews focusing on nutrition and health. She also has written several professional and lay publications. An experienced public speaker, Jayne gave presentations nationally and internationally for Young Presidents’ Organization, Royal Cruise Line, Holland America Cruise Line as well as numerous corporations including The Phoenician Resort, Motorola, The National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, The Dial Corporation, Proctor @ Gamble, Several State Dietetic Associations, The American Heart Association (Arizona Affiliate) and many more.
