I began my retail experience at the age of 18 starting out as a sales associate for a fast fashion brand in one of the largest malls in the world. There I built my foundation to learn basic customer service skills as well as taking the opportunity to learn the ropes of the visual aspect in a business. Within a year of heavy experience I was able to master my customer service skills which then allowed me challenge my curiosity in visuals. I landed my second job at the age of 19 working strictly as a visual assistant at GUESS which led me to make a decision on what part of the retail world I wanted to continue on. This decision excelled me rapidly as I went from being on the sales floor to assisting in numerous decisions regarding merchandise placement & presentation in the span of a few months. After gaining a tremendous amount of experience in such minimal time, I was given the opportunity to add on another layer to my experience, which would then later become management. By the end of 2015 I began my career in the Banana Republic brand (Owned by GAP) as a supervisor. During my early years in BR I was able to grow my management skills by learning to use my abilities in order to lead my team to drive sales & exceed company goals. Here I polished my customer service skills as well as grew talent in order to provide our customers with the best experience in our stores. Aside from the sales floor, I specialized in both the operations & visual merchandising side of the business. In my few years of operations, I built the ability of ensuring company compliance throughout the business, as well as the efficiency and sucess of shipment processing. In the few years I was responsible for product, I was able to grow my talents in merchandising by taking complete control of the store presentation including the creating of visual maps, executing floor sets, building creative props & installing store marketing. My overall and continuing career in the GAP/ BR brand has allowed me the opportunity to master the different roles that make up a well ran business. Through sudden times, I was able to adapt in taking on new responsibilites which shaped me to be very well rounded in all roles of the business. In 2020, out of curiosity & the desire to challenge myself on another level, I decided to shift gears into an industry that I was completely unfamiliar with - Insurance. After much training & studies, I continue my career as an Insurance agent providing the best coverage for home & auto Insurance from a company I’m proud to represent - Geico.
