About Jayson Biven

I am an Industrial Hygiene professional with a strong foundation in environmental health and hands-on experience in exposure assessment, regulatory compliance, and field-based safety evaluations. Currently, I work as an Industrial Hygiene Technician at Environmental Safety Technologies, where I conduct environmental sampling and assessments across a variety of settings including healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities. In my role, I specialize in indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations, microbial and fungal sampling, and water system testing, including Legionella risk assessments. I regularly utilize industry-standard instrumentation and follow established protocols to identify potential hazards and support clients in maintaining safe, compliant environments.Prior to transitioning into industrial hygiene, I served as an Environmental Health Specialist with Louisville Metro Government, where I conducted inspections, enforced public health regulations, and investigated environmental health concerns. This experience strengthened my ability to communicate risk, interpret regulations, and work effectively with diverse stakeholders. During my time at Eastern Kentucky University I did an internship as a project team member at AmeriCorps. It was a grant funded AmeriCorps project with local established partnerships. The placement was at a newly established non-profit titled the Divine Providence Way Garden which focused on organic sustainable farm to table products. Throughout my time attending EKU, I worked sales and the customer service department at Kohl's. Prior to my time at EKU, I got experience in landscaping at Silver Cliff in Richmond Kentucky.
