COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER OVERVIEW: Along with 15+ years of total project management experience, I have several recent years in commercial construction and renovation project management. Throughout my project management career, I have maintained a consistent record of meeting budget, time, and quality goals on complex projects. Many of those projects were completed ahead of schedule and under budget, as well as earning full customer satisfaction for my efforts as well as my teams’ contributions. My background includes strengths in all aspects of the construction process, from project scheduling to closeout procedures as well as constructability reviews and inspections. One of the keys to my success is that I am a hands-on construction project manager who can dive in and handle various activities to move the team along as well as providing guidance and direction. I demonstrate advanced skills in planning, scheduling, and managing all phases of multi-month and multi-year projects, including the development of contingency and alternative plans for unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather delays). I am an effective problem solver, with the ability to overcome weather, logistical, and related challenges. Another positive factor is that I build excellent relationships with architects, subcontractors, business owners, and all other parties involved in the project management lifecycle. Everyone has their own agenda when it comes to achieving goals on these projects; what I am able to do is balance out those needs and achieve consensus on overarching, common objectives through continual communications. CREDENTIALS I have built a solid knowledge base in commercial construction trades and practices through ongoing practice and learning. I am proficient in Constructware, PASKR, and Kahua project management suites, with intermediate skills in MS Office and Project.
