About Jazz Honegger

As an Adjunct Professor at Colorado School of Mines and a Biomechanics Analyst & Consultant, I have over 8 years of experience in applying scientific, engineering, and data analysis methods to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions in the fields of health, sports, and wellness. I have a PhD in Biomechanics from Colorado School of Mines, where I also teach and develop courses for the FEA Professional Graduate Certificate Program. I am passionate about using data and technology to improve human performance, health, and quality of life. I have expertise in designing and conducting biomechanical experiments, developing and programming algorithms (Python, Matlab), data analytics (SQL), and working with and interpreting data from wearable inertial sensors. I have completed over 15 successful projects, published in peer-reviewed journals, and filed a patent in this domain. I also have experience in developing and implementing a business model for climbing, a high-level performance sport, and providing biomechanical movement analysis and coaching for climbers from over 25 countries. I believe in data-driven methods and in building relationships. I have strong leadership, project management, communication, and collaboration skills, and have worked cross-functionally with teams of over 60 professionals from different departments and disciplines. I am also an entrepreneur, an outdoor athlete, a drummer, and a lifelong learner. I care about making a difference in the world with the work that I do.
