About Jazz Scott

As a young kid growing up in Southeast Texas, I’ve seen my fair share of hard times – hard times that have only motivated me further toward my goals. The older I got, the more pressure I put on myself to take care of my family and loved ones around me. I was fortunate to earn a football scholarship to college; however, after college, a brutal knee injury changed the trajectory of my future as I knew it. During this time, I didn’t think anything could fill the void of football. Everything that I was taught while playing was still instilled in me – leadership, hard work, and the passion of lifting up the people around me. If I was going to pursue a career in business, I knew I wanted to do so in a capacity where I can still revolve my work ethic around my values. Fast forward to now - my years of dedication in business have landed me in my current position as a Financial Advisor with Stifel. What’s most rewarding to me is that now I have the opportunity to help individuals and families improve their financial literacy in underserved communities, help them pursue their financial goals, all while still having a foot in the sports industry by helping athletes plan for life after sports. Some of the most vulnerable and emotional aspects of a person’s life can stem from their financial situation and lack of financial literacy. I am honored to be in the position to guide these individuals, and I often look back at my younger self and recognize just how important it truly is. I am dedicated to my family in every way and spend a great deal of time mentoring young siblings, cousins, and other loved ones. I also take great pride in serving my community as a sports coach and trainer, youth advocate, counselor, and financial literacy tutor.
