About Je Tuttle
After a great tenure at ECU Health as Chair of Surgery, I have stepped down as of Jan 2023. I have spent the last 6 months with the wonderful health care leaders at CMS and am grateful for their experience and dedication to providing a safe, accessible and high quality health care product for the Medicare beneficiaries. I was offered a unique opportunity to work at the National transportation safety board in the Research and Engineering Division with incredibly talented and smart basic scientists, researchers and investigators in the transportation industry. My senior medical officer is great and I am learning a great deal and am channeling my passion for patient safety to public safety. I continue to provide Critical Care resource care in the DC area. I continue to work and publish with national and international groups of women in surgery - advocating for pay parity and equity/equality. As my father was an automobile dealer for over 40 years, I feel I have come full circle.
