WHO AM I? I am a Ph.D. candidate in a development economics programme that instructs quantitative methods, assessment, and their systematic application. My dissertation uses instrumental variables and simultaneous equations models to investigate the economic benefits of the adaptation to climate change for agriculture and the environment and decrease climate risk exposure. Research expert in the economics of the environment, adaptation to climate change, and development. I have experience and expertise in conducting close height surveys in academia and industry. I investigate the joint determination of the adaptation decision to global warming and its effects on agricultural yields and exposure to climate risks. In addition, I assess ecological goods such as wetlands by providing a new combining approach of revealed and stated preferences. Finally, I use Cost-Benefit Analyses to estimate the benefits of implementing adaptation strategies to climate change. My expertise applies to different economic branches, including health, development, education, environment, climate, etc. I had several opportunities to enhance my academic expertise with professional experience before and during my Ph.D. studies. I worked for the :(1) Department of Fisheries et Oceans as research analyst;(2) Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec (MFFP), as economic consultant;(3) Université de Sherbrooke as a teaching assistant, research assistant and lecturer;(4) World Bank Group as impact evaluation field coordinator;(5) École Nationale Supérieure de Statistique et d’Économie Appliquée as research assistant;(6) Ivorian Center for Economic and Social Research as research Associate; and (7) United States Agency for International Development as health Analyst. WHAT DO YOU NOT SEE IN THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH? I am excellent in conducting, treating and analyzing survey research. As a quantitative researcher, I develop survey instruments, programme and seed surveys. In addition, I am proficient in getting climate variables using ArcMap to impute to each farmer his specific climate variable (temperature, rainfall, evaporation, wind speeds and duration of solar radiation).
