About Jean Morrison

Jean Morrison is President of Morrison & Associates, Inc, a human resource management consulting firm serving businesses and organizations for more than 30 years. An executive coach, consultant and facilitator, Jean is highly recognized for her insight coaching and deep experience in conflict resolution. Her grounded, human-centric approach enables her to build trust, gather unique insights, and assist individuals, management teams, cross-functional teams, and boards of directors in identifying/addressing issues that serve as stumbling blocks to effectiveness. Jean coaches executives, managers and individual contributors in developing the thinking, being and doing that constitute the most effective leadership in their organizations. She also specializes in working with executives, teams and work groups around communication, trust, commitment, conflict, collaboration, and accountability. Jean’s skills, professionalism, adherence to confidentiality, and diverse client experience are among the reasons that she is consistently recommended and referred by clients. Her extensive client list ranges from working with small, family-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies, as well as nonprofit organizations, academic institutions, industry associations, healthcare organizations, business groups and the public sector. Jean is a certified mediator through The Minneapolis Mediation Program and has been a mentor at the Metropolitan Economic Development Association and Minneapolis Public Schools. Prior to founding Morrison & Associates, Inc, Jean held key management/officer positions with Pillsbury, Green Giant, Michigan National Bank, St. Joseph Bank & Trust, and Norwest Bank. Jean has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Minnesota for 30 years in the areas of conflict management, communication, and human resource management. She provides presentations, workshops and keynotes to hundreds of people each year. She has received numerous awards and recognition for her presentation ability and community service such as Woman of the Year, Minnesota Small Business Advocate, Volunteer of the Year, and Speaker of the Year. She serves on several area boards and donates significant time to assisting minority businesses around human resources. Jean’s successful approach to addressing human resource issues has been featured in numerous articles. Jean is one of 31 women from around the world featured in a book released in 2009, Women as Healers: Voices of Vibrancy, about gifted professionals doing extraordinary things to make the world a better place.
