With 20+ years of experience in office management, payer credentialing, and practice administration, I possess a documented track record of achievement in turnaround and transformational leadership, revenue cycle management, process optimization, and operational excellence. For the last 4 years, I have served as Practice Administrator for Orthopedic Specialists & Sports Medicine, where I have transformed what was a struggling practice into a profitable business operating out of a brand-new facility with state-of-the-art medical equipment, a team of 4 surgeons, and a total staff of 35. Acting swiftly to eradicate cash flow issues, I instituted critical processes and controls, reduced expenditures, cut receivables by 20+ days, and drove unprecedented business and clinical efficiencies. Earlier in my career, I spent 14 years as the Office Manager for Genesis Surgery Center, joining the team one week before the facility opening, and playing a critical role in the development of our operating infrastructure. Working diligently to optimally allocate talent and financial resources, implement efficient business office processes and systems, and negotiate competitive contracts, I supported the strength and sustainability of the center, ultimately navigating its purchase by Genesis Health Care System and integration into their infrastructure. Following its purchase, I managed payer credentialing for 18 months. For a brief period of a year following my time with Genesis, and before joining my current employer, I was asked to manage the business office with Polaris Surgery Center, bringing my revenue cycle management expertise into the organization to improve financial processes and outcomes. Reducing A/R by 10 days, improving cash flow, and implementing a system of checks and balances, I positioned the business for profitable growth. An operationally and team-focused leader, I have proven my ability to step into an organization, triage needs, eliminate issues, and position practices for growth.
