About Jed Mitchell

I am an ambitious and extremely hard working individual who is actively seeking exciting opportunities for a First Class Chemical Engineering graduate. The problems facing society and the world have been further highlighted in 2020. I feel that my analytical and problem solving skills along with my personality make me an ideal candidate to help be at the forefront of solving these issues. The £12 million net present value saving I delivered for Premier Oil during a 6 month placement is a prime example of how I use my skillset to deliver results. My Supervisor at Premier Oil said ”Jed is a dedicated hardworking engineer who has shown great enthusiasm and technical skill during his placement. He has carried out his tasks in a very professional manner to a high standard. He has shown enthusiasm and interest in all aspects of the job and is always happy to get involved and help out when he can.” I graduated with First Class Chemical Engineering MEng degree in 2020 from the University of Edinburgh. I had secured a graduate Process Engineering role at a global energy firm, but this got cancelled the day after receiving my degree due to the economic climate caused by COVID-19.
