About Jed Schaaf

I'm a Software Developer, with over 8 years of experience in life science software and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from BJU. I'm focusing on improving my software project development skills and looking to learn more about databases and other technologies. My hobbies include reading, video games, reading, board games, reading, puzzles, and did I mention reading? I have a passing familiarity with FOSS, with one such personal project publicly available, and though I prefer C, C++, and SQL; C# and Java are well within my comfort zone. I like solving problems and finding faster and more efficient ways to do things. At one of my previous employers, I took a process and massively increased its efficiency, dropping the time to perform that task from several days for a team to a few minutes for one person. I also have a strong preference for and focus on safety, both in physical terms and in time estimates.
