I am a graduate from Nottingham Trent University with a First Class BSc in Biological Sciences, Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM accredited), and am currently working as an Ecologist for Baker Consultants Ltd. I am an experienced ecologist dedicated to conserving biodiversity and promoting sustainable development practices. I have worked with clients across a broad range of disciplines ensuring projects align with environmental legislation and policy. With expertise in protected species surveying and identification, habitat survey, preliminary ecological appraisal, and ecological impact assessment, I specialise in ensuring projects deliver measurable biodiversity net gain. I am highly proficient in Biodiversity Net Gain analysis and delivery. My proficiency lies in evaluating the current biodiversity value of a site, identifying opportunities for enhancement, and designing effective mitigation measures to achieve a net gain in biodiversity. Through rigorous analysis and innovative solutions, I strive to ensure that every project not only meets regulatory requirements but also contributes positively to the conservation and enhancement of local ecosystems. My proficiency extends to utilising GIS systems for spatial analysis, employing bioacoustics for ecological monitoring, and assessing both terrestrial and aquatic environments using invertebrate assembledges through field survey and subsequent identification.
