Background
About Jeehee Moon
Jeehee is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #131623) and a Registered Art Therapist (ATR #22-161), EMDR trained clinician, and pursuing Ph.D. in Art Therapy at Dominican University of California. Jeehee was born and raised in Korea, and moved to U.S. after receiving Masters in Art Psychotherapy in Korea. It was to expand her knowledge and experience in art therapy in the country where art therapy education is well developed. As a former international student and an immigrant herself, she understands the challenges of living in an unfamiliar culture, experiencing cultural identity crisis, and the difficulties of having a language barrier, that impacts your self-esteem and also limits many things in your life. Jeehee values working as a team with her client. The therapist-client relationship comes before the theoretical approach for her. To build the relationship, she treats her clients with empathy, genuineness, respect, and non-judgmental regard.
