About Jeetender Kanaya

Started my career with a Technical Training role at Jetking Infotrain Ltd. in 2011. While it was immensely satisfying and rewarding and also something that I still yearn to do in my free time, I felt the need to switch to an industry role to be in the thick of latest technological developments. I found that opportunity with Microland Ltd. where I was placed in the Service Desk team at the Procter & Gamble HQ at Mumbai in 2012 and learnt about IT Support skills, SLAs, Ticketing tools, Vendor co-ordination (for hardware repairs) and most importantly about teamwork, importance of documentation, handling end users and ensuring customer satisfaction. With the motivation from my team leader, I got certified in ITIL and subsequently got an opportunity with Capgemini in 2013. Being a part of a leading IT MNC was a great learning experience and it widened my horizon in terms of the opportunities and options available for learning and growing professionally. I was selected to be a part of the Service Request Management Team, handling software and hardware requests for allotment, refresh, replacement and return of laptops and accessories for UK and US based users. Along the way, I got interested in Linux OS and completed a classroom training in Red Hat Linux System Administration and validated my learnings by clearing the RHCSE certification exam in Jan 2016 and subsequently got an opportunity to work in the Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) team, for a US-based client, handling entire infrastructure spanning windows and linux servers, backups, storage systems, RSA Token administration, O365, VMware etc. While I continued to excel in my role along with managing the team and mentoring juniors, I also took the challenge to further upgrade myself to the latest technology through internal trainings and certifications in Automation Engineering. As a part of the requirements for the Automation Engineering Practitioner certification, I created a use case which was selected among the top 10 entries for that month and got rewarded for the same. However, the actual reward for all my efforts came in the form of an offer to work as an Automation Engineer wherein I'm currently involved in various digital initiatives for multiple clients - which involves developing RPA solutions on UIPath, enabling and enhancing digital enterprise monitoring (DEM) experience using Nexthink tool and implementation and roll-out of a self-help and self-heal portal for a leading NBFC.
