About Jeeva Muthulingam

As a Research Fellow at Rowan University, I am developing a geometric and material model to study the impact dynamics of thermoplastic polymers at high strain-rate. Using finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS and LS-Dyna, I am investigating the effect of molecular weight and polymer blending on polymer microparticle rebound and adhesion characteristics. I am also conducting optimization studies to achieve better performance and functionality of these materials. My passion for applied mechanics, simulation, and design stems from my previous academic and professional experiences. I hold a Master of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where I conducted case studies and vibration and stress analyses of various composite structures using ABAQUS. I also have a year of experience as a Simulation Engineer at DRDL, DRDO, where I engineered 3D aircraft body models and assessed aerodynamic loads using computational fluid dynamics. I possess robust proficiencies in 3D CAD, numerical modeling, data analysis, and troubleshooting. My objective is to apply my expertise and insights to devise inventive solutions for industry challenges, while remaining open to learning and collaborating with fellow experts and professionals in the field. I am eager to leverage my skills and knowledge to contribute to the advancement of composite materials and structures, and to the enhancement of aerospace engineering and design.
