jeffallen12@gmail.com Hi, I'm Jeff, a detailed, logical and client focused Human Resources (HR) professional with a passion for SaaS system implementation, reporting/analytics and managing organizational change. I've had a career and worked on projects that have touched every area of HR over the past eighteen years, in both the private and public sectors. Ten years ago, I had the privilege of leading a complex SAP SuccessFactors system implementation project for TELUS that allowed me to apply my core/holistic understanding of HR policies and apply it to create practical HR system solutions, workflows, and apps. I have been working in the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and analytics space ever since. Over the past decade I've gained a wealth of experience in creating HR system strategy and driving digital transformation in payroll, time management, talent management, benefits, compensation, and learning. I've worked on projects to evolve paper-based processes into efficient self-serve web-based applications, configured complex Collective Agreements/legislation, implemented ATS software, and have managed more system upgrades than I can count. I firmly believe that systems should not dictate HR policy. This is where my holistic experience, combined with my quasi-IT skills brings a lot of value to projects that I work on. I live in that cross-functional space, where I'm able to build thorough business requirements advocating for what HR needs and then communicate and collaborate with IT gurus to design and execute solutions that meets the needs of HR and improves the employee experience. I'm a meticulous and analytical guy and many people that I've worked with would probably say that my ability to troubleshoot, find the root causes, and resolve system issues is one of my greatest strengths. I've received recognition for the thoroughness of my Unit Acceptance Testing (UAT) as I take pride in identifying system data discrepancies or challenges before they happen "in real life". This is the same reason that I love metrics and analytics; I've led some great initiatives in my career to develop core KPIs/benchmarks, demographics and PowerBI dashboards to identify trends so that organizations have the opportunity to pivot based on real-time data. I pursued HR as a career because I love helping people and it's still the thing that brings me the most joy in my job everyday.
