About Jeff Barber

As a product design enthusiast, I have experience spanning from blank-screen ideation to launch handoff, having served in roles including design engineer, product development engineer and quote engineer, with greatest strengths in the pre-launch phases. I've been privileged to work in the automotive, medical and seating industries, providing me an ability to design for most popular manufacturing processes and materials. I'm currently a focused and successful member of a high-performing engineering team, providing engineering support in the pursuit and acquisition of new business. I thrive working on multi-discipline teams, collaborating with teammates from industrial design, product launch, finance, tooling and manufacturing to create. I'm committed to efficient and profitable product design, helping to make my company and teammates successful, and having good working relationships with all. In addition to internal teams, I'm also regularly involved with customers via engineering support, technical reviews and presentations. A few strengths- early product design and development - creativity, coupled with strong sketching and ideation abilities - familiarity with, and ability to design for, injection molding, casting, blow-molding and stampings - a holistic view of product development - a good sense of humor and letting people have fun at work
