Currently pursuing research in the application and development of Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) as dynamic tools for the acquisition of remote sensing data across a variety of scientific disciplines - Reno, Geography Department. Currently conducting a funded BLM project to use drones and machine learning to isolate and identify the endangered Peirson’s Milkvetch (Astragalus magdalenae var. peirsonii) in the Imperial Sand Dunes region of southern California. Developing another project, using similar methods, to identify human skeletal surface remains in conjunction with Forensic Anthropology at UNR.
