Experienced, bilingual (English and French) Director working in the Information Technology domain. Skilled in Analytical Skills, Documentation, IT Strategy, Data Networking, and Management. Strong technical professional (P.Eng.) with a MBA from Ivey Business School at University of Western Ontario. I am currently the Director, Service Operations, with Shared Services Canada (SSC), where I am responsible for the management of two teams which include 40 people. I have over thirty years experience in the project management and information technology fields, in both the private and public sectors. I have experience with product development, contract management, program management, and have specified and supported the implementation of numerous computer systems and networks. With regard to technical challenges, I am an advocate of: 1. Requirements-based systems specification, 2. The use of standards-based approaches to technology solutions, and 3. Clear and effective documentation that supports knowledge transfer. With regard to management, I am an advocate of: 1. Developing a vision, and supporting it with strategic and operational planning, 2. Effective information management, 3. The leveraging of human resources through the development of social capital.
