About Jeff Boyd

Lieutenants Jeff and Kristin Boyd are overwhelmingly excited to join the Northwest Division as Corps Officers at the Ray & Joan Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene. Jeff is a 5th generation Salvation Army officer and Kristin came to The Salvation Army through youth programs at the Oceanside Corps as a young girl. They met as teenagers through Salvation Army youth programs and married in 2005. Jeff earned his bachelors degree in business administration with an emphasis on finance and marketing from Chapman University and Kristin studied theater at Mira Costa College. For fifteen years, the two owned and operated a successful residential real estate company and maintained the rank of top 1% of Realtors in the United States. In 2018, they were given a clear calling to trade in their worldly success for heavenly significance and step into full time ministry as officers in The Salvation Army. They obediently responded to this call because of their passion for Jesus, spreading the Gospel and loving others. They have never looked back. They were commissioned in 2021 and served for four years as the Corps Officers of the Chico Corps in the Del Oro Division. When not in uniform, you can find Jeff out on a mountain bike trail somewhere in nature, at the gym lifting weights, or working on projects probably involving a motor. Jeff ran 5 marathons in 2024 and is training soon for his first triathlon. Kristin’s natural habitat is a coffee shop catching up with a friend, cuddling farm animals, in her kitchen making sourdough, or volunteering at the NICU as an infant cuddler. She also is skilled with interior design and large event planning. The Boyds fell in love with the Northwest after their summer assignment in Spokane during training school. During that time, they spent many days at the Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene. and they are thrilled to now call it home. Jeff and Kristin believe that we are to be lifelong learners and they are excited to live, learn, grow and lead in the great Northwest!
