About Jeff Brown

As a nationally recognized designer in the lighting industry, Jeff brought his experience to the Tampa Bay area 10 years ago to provide integrated lighting design as part of an MEP consulting engineering firm's services offering. providing a wide range of lighting design services to clients. During his 40+ year professional career, he has provided the successful lighting design for a diverse portfolio of interior and exterior space types including hospitality, commercial office, educational, judicial, research, laboratory, retail, museum, exterior streetscape, building facade, landscape, themed environment, assisted living, student housing, multi-family and residential & transportation space. Jeff has an extensive history of working in the design and construction industry and holds a BA in Interior Design/Human Environment & Design from Michigan State University. He currently serves as the Past-President of the IES Tampa Section, as a co-coordinator for the IALD SE Region Chapter and also sits on the Steering Committee for the USDOE sponsored Next Generation Lighting Systems program. Jeff has a portfolio of varied project types, providing basis of design professional architectural lighting and controls design, specification and documentation. His detailed attention to the customer's budget and time-line, as well as the architectural/ID/LA design team's vision, aesthetic and functional programming requirements allows his clients to achieve truly comfortable, cost-effective, creative visual environments without surprising product markups. Environmental, energy, maintenance and sustainability concerns are always important criteria in any of his work.
