About Jeff Chapin

As a highly energetic and motivated individual, I seek opportunities to challenge myself and to learn new skills and knowledge. Utilizing my ability to assimilate new knowledge quickly, I look forward to contributing to an enthusiastic community, overcoming new challenges and developing innovative methodologies. I am currently teaching Mathematics at Crestview College Prep and ITT Technical Institute. As a Technical Services Analyst at Epic Systems, I coordinated the implementation of and maintained the successful utilization of an inter-operability application for the exchange of electronic medical records. As hospitals around the country attest for meaningful use stage two, we partnered extensively with on-boarding organizations to conform business wide practices with ever changing governmental requirements. In addition to my project management, implementation and technical services work, I primarily focused on design and development internal projects. During my graduate program at Michigan State I held many leadership positions including twice being the Lead Teaching Assistant for the summer semester as well as coordinating and supervising the Math Learning Center. I also taught non-standard courses including math enrichment, a course designed to give additional support to students with a disadvantageous background, as well as math for elementary education majors. I actively sought out positions acting as a consultant for textbooks and various math curriculum. I spent multiple years working with the Connected Mathematics Project, a widely successful middle school curriculum, as a mathematical quality assurance tester.
