As the Chief Sales Officer, I oversee WHA’s Sales and Major Accounts and provides market leadership as a key member of the senior management team. I lead a 21-person sales team, handling nearly members from private and public sector employer groups as well as individual and family accounts both on and off the state exchange – totaling nearly $800 million in gross premiums. Additionally, I ensure that the highest level of service is provided to WHA employers, members and broker partners.I have 25 years of experience in the health insurance industry, with over 20 years in senior management in the greater Sacramento area. My experience spans both sides of the health plan sector: 20 years working with a health plan and five years with local brokerage firms.Headquartered in Sacramento, Western Health Advantage is a non-profit HMO health plan founded in 1996 with a community-based mission by doctors and health care providers.
