I have the pleasure of leading an incredible team at CIBC as Vice President, Retail Payments Services, and President, INTRIA Items Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of CIBC. This 400-person,$200MM operational unit is led by a team that is client obsessed and delivers market-leading operations services for our clients through both in-house and outsourced services, including CIBC's credit and debit card operations, cheque and electronic payments, cash management services across the enterprise, estate services for all clients, the bank's courier network, statement print for all products, businesses and brands, enterprise records storage, and other key services geared to make our client's ambitions a reality. I joined CIBC in 2004 following several years in the electronics manufacturing and medical equipment industries. For my first two years at CIBC, I utilized my Professional Engineering experience as part of the Retail Markets Process Engineering team responsible for creating efficiencies across key consumer and business lending products. Later I gained exposure to the Bank’s wholesale, risk and operations businesses in the Internal Audit group (2006 – 2011) where I was responsible for Large Corporate and Commercial post-loss reviews, the Global Operations Audit function and the Risk Management Audit function, including work with the federal government as part of the bank’s compliance to OSFI’s Capital Adequacy requirements. In 2011, I joined the CIBC Global Operations team to lead the project delivery function, and subsequently led the Retail Operations strategy and delivery groups. In 2016, I took the role of Vice President, Business Transformation and Operations’ support, leading the Retail Operations & INTRIA client sales and support teams, supporting a $60MM revenue client-facing portfolio, along with the supporting process, performance and project teams. I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada) and am a licensed Professional Engineer with Professional Engineers Ontario (P.Eng), and also hold several Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certificates. I live in Toronto with my partner Lynette and our two children Miles and Ruby. In the winter I try to play as much hockey as possible and travel with my family, and in the summer I try to spend as much time as possible with the family at our cottage near Parry Sound on beautiful Georgian Bay.
