About Jeff Crider

As a former newspaper reporter turned publicist, I help my clients get into the news, locally, regionally, nationally or overseas. As a historian, I research and write history books for water agencies, cities, healthcare districts and NGOs. So far I have written nine history books for water agencies across California and Arizona, explaining how these agencies developed the infrastructure to support the economic development of their communities. I also wrote a historical report for the Colorado River Water Users Association for their 75th anniversary. I have also written about Native American, immigrant and civil rights history and edited books on business biography and family history. Most of my books are included in the collections of public and university libraries. As a humanitarian, I volunteer as a Spanish language interpreter, media spokesman and director of communications for IMAHelps which organizes medical missions in Central and South America. I also travel to support and promote Lifewater International's water, hygiene and sanitation projects in East Africa and Cambodia in addition to working with humanitarian groups in Mexico and in my home state of California. I have been self-employed as a publicist and freelance writer for over 20 years, which gives me the flexibility to work on a fascinating mix of projects with clients across the country and around the world. I have a 25-year track record of successful story placements for cities; water agencies; private companies; campground and RV industry trade associations; law firms; credit unions; insurance companies; and non-profit organizations involved in healthcare, water and hygiene around the world. I am a quotable source for the North American campground industry, having researched and written thousands of news articles, feature stories and press releases involving campgrounds, travel destinations and related industry trends in the U.S. and Canada for nearly 30 years. I have near native fluency in Spanish plus PR experience with Spanish language print, broadcast and Internet media in the U.S. as well as in Central and South America. I have a basic working knowledge of Portuguese, having taken private lessons with a Brazilian tutor for several years.
