Prior to joining Neogen, he has over 20 years of experience within several positions in Quality Assurance, Analytical Services, Manufacturing and Technical Sales/Marketing capacities in the Food, Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical industries for Unilever, Wyeth-Ayerst Labs (AHP), Alticor and the Kroger companies. Mr. Demey holds a BS degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Michigan State University as well as a MSA in Business from Central Michigan University. SALES & MARKETING LEADERSHIP Responsible for the development of strategic marketing plans to drive the complex sale of rapid microbiological diagnostic systems and laboratory equipment for use in the food industry. Successfully initiated and launched a unique microbiological diagnostics product line while achieving a 38% growth in market share. Completed numerous marketing and sales presentations to key corporate food industry prospects. •Provided direction and technical training for capital equipment sales to achieve corporate objectives. •Awarded “Master Sales Person” in 2006 for highest sales level and revenue growth for the entire food safety division. •Responsible for maximizing the sales of diagnostic testing systems and associated supplies to numerous corporate and key food industry customers. •Consistently delivered greater than 25% growth in revenue for 2003-2006 years for assigned sales territory •Direct sales of starter cultures, enzymes, natural colors, functional proteins, fermented specialties, and stabilizer systems to the food industry for a ten state territory with more than $1 million in revenue generation. •“Salesperson of the Year” in I990, 1991 and 1992 with overall growth of 48% in 1990. •Introduced new functional proteins and fermented specialty products for the food and beverage industries.
