About Jeff Dicks

I’m the founder of Limestone Media Productions, helping small businesses in Kingston reach local customers through affordable social media content production and management. At the same time, I operate Limestone Lures where I produce hand crafted soft plastic fishing lures that help people put more fish in the net. When I’m not doing either of those things, I film fishing content for my personal YouTube and social channels. On top of all those things, I’m a father, husband and active duty member of the Canadian Armed Forces and Royal Canadian Core of Signals. I discovered my passion for fishing at 32 years old when my wife bought me a fishing kayak for my first Father's Day. Looking for kayak fishing content on YouTube, I found little available, so I borrowed a GoPro and started recording. That decision led to a thriving YouTube channel, where I share fishing adventures, product reviews and promote my brand partners, all of which helped expand my own brand presence. While deployed to Iraq in 2019, I became interested in bait making, specifically soft plastic bait making. I researched endlessly, and when I returned home, I started making my own baits. After catching my first fish on a bait I made, Limestone Lures was born. Through creating content for Limestone Lures, I ran into a challenge. I couldn’t be in front of and behind the camera at the same time. When I looked into local media production options, I found their pricing was far beyond what a small business like mine could afford. I realized there must be other business owners in the same position, so I launched Limestone Media Productions to provide affordable content creation services for businesses that need professional-quality media without breaking the budget. It didn’t help me solve the problem I faced making my own content, but now I get to be the solution for other small businesses!
