About Jeff Douglas

I have in excess of 35 years policing experience, primarily in the field of traffic enforcement. I was an operational officer since 1987 through to 2006 serving at various locations around Queensland. From 2006 - 2013 I was the State Speed Detection and Asset Coordinator responsible for procurement, training programs including training of instructors and maintenance of policy relating to LIDAR and mobile RADAR speed devices. From 2013 to 2020, I managed the ANPR/ALPR program for the state which included contract management, implementation and expansion of mobile ANPR, training and advancement of ANPR beyond simple traffic enforcement. My most recent position was Duty Manager/Shift Supervisor at our state’s largest 24/7 Watchhouse responsible for custody management of prisoners and line control of staff on shift. Challenges galore! I have recently commenced employment with Selex ES Inc and am excited to have this opportunity. I am available to support our Australasian organisations to promote the benefits and capabilities of our ANPR/ALPR products to help bring about safe communities. I obtained Police qualifications for motorcycles, performance vehicles and performed the role of one of four state security motorcyclists for the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay.
