About Jeff Dsilva

My name is Jeff, I am an exceptional creative and strategic thinker. First the boring stuff, I have an MBA from the Haskayne School of Business in Global Energy Management and Sustainable Development and a broad range of experience spanning 10 years in residential finance, banking, marketing & communications, and project management. Now here is the interesting stuff. During my MBA, I leveraged a self-produced YouTube account into an offer to intern for the Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien. After the Jay Leno fiasco put a wrench in my plans; I eventually had the privilege to complete my internship with CONAN on TBS. I was the catalyst and head writer for a production collective in Calgary called Science Bear and had my work featured on FunnyOrDie.com, Comedy Central’s Atom.com, as well as had my individual work showcased on the Canadian Comedy Network. In 2011, I wrote, co-produced, and starred in the feature length film “SKETCH” which was an official selection of the Calgary International Film Fest, Edmonton International Film Fest, and screened at the Nerdist Theatre in Los Angeles.Upon returning to Calgary from Los Angeles I took a job with one of the community’s leading non-profit organizations to apply my business skills towards helping those organizations that have made my life so enriching. Over the past 4 years as Propellus’ Manager, Consulting I have grown a start-up consulting business by 20% year over year from 2013-2015 and I was directly responsible for the contract negotiation, project management and business development of over 140 projects. Concurrently, I focused on honing my writing and performing abilities and was subsequently selected to be a featured artist at the Sled Island Festival (2014,2015) as well as at the Calgary Folk Music Festival. In my free time, my wife and I document our experiences raising our two young daughters and a King Charles Cavalier named Wilfred on an Instagram that consistently annoys our friends and family.
