About Jeff Duer

20+ years of passionate reservoir development and optimization in Geological CO2 Storage, CCUS, conventional Oil & Gas, Gas Storage, Salt Cavern LPG Storage, LNG Development. 10 years on geological storage of CO2 supporting the 1 MT/yr Quest CCS facility in Canada. During his time on Quest he supported the project phases of design, execute, start-up, and operate. This includes the field development plan, risk management MMV plan, integrated reservoir modeling, well design, drilling, well testing, performance management, and regulatory reporting. In support of knowledge sharing Jeff has contributed to multiple publications and presentations at conferences and workshops. In addition to CCS, his career has focused on reservoir engineering supporting conventional oil & gas, natural gas storage, and salt cavern NGL storage. Currently he manages the delivery of technical services as part of Shell Global Solutions. Community Involvement:> 15+ years of active participation in Petroleum Society / Society of Petroleum Engineers including the a merger, set up of SPE Canada, special interest groups, chair of Calgary Section.> Multiple papers, conference and workshop presentations on CCUS. Technical Skills > Oil & gas property evaluations, A&D, economics, reserves determination.> Reservoir simulation, well test analysis, field development planning, integrated production system optimization.> Contracts, commercial agreements, joint venture management.
