About Jeff Dunn

I have been through two respective "career lives". By education and first 6 years of professional experience were in the clinical counseling field - providing therapy and assessment for individuals, families, drug and alcohol dependent patients, and HIV/AIDS management. In 2006, I switched gears, though, to pursue my passion of design. Since then, I have become a senior-level Instructional Designer, having worked in the areas of project management, quality control, instructional design, and graphic design. I have managed teams working on projects in an excess of $1M of revenue, and have had nearly all clients come back for repeat business. My projects come in on-time and on-budget if not better, and quality is the cornerstone of everything I do. I've led design projects in the industries of pharmaceuticals, software, hospitality, and finance. In 2018, I've also started my own consulting business, the Practical Penguin, which has grown 300% over the past 4 years, all through word of mouth and referral. I see the world through a unique lens with my psychology background and 20+ years of adult education experience as an Adjunct Professor. I'm a "technology geek" and always looking to learn more about the most cutting edge trends in learning in the business. Every day I strive to make learning something that doesn't feel like "learning" and more like entertainment and fun. If I can help people learn the way they did when they were kids, I've succeeded.
