About Jeff Ervick

I worked in the automotive industry for 4 years and obtained my automotive interprovincial red seal certification. This launched my career into the heavy duty industry working for Johnston Equipment for 13 years as a Raymond Certified Equipment Technician, material handling driver trainer, fall arrest and scissor lift instructor and technical trainer for electrical and hydraulic courses. I moved into a facility management role with Sysco Foods of Winnipeg in 2009 and am responsible for managing both our Winnipeg facility of sq ft and the sq ft Thunder Bay facility.Both facilities have multiple temp zone warehouse storage and products including dry goods, refrigerated product, fresh produce, and frozen foods. In 2014 I received a promotion to director of operations where i was responsible for a team of 160 union and non union associates in warehousing and facilities maintenance. My responsibility also expanded into managing nearly 70 contracted delivery drivers as well as routers, driver and fleet supervisors. Responsibilities included h&s of all staff, engineered labor standards, managing within 2 CBA’s in 2 different provinces. Also responsible for budgeting, shrink reduction goals, labor efficiencies, planning and execution of strategic plans, capital planning for equipment and facility improvements as well as audit compliancy. In 2018 I took on my current role of director of fleet and facility maintenance for Sysco Canada. Working with Sysco’s Canadian leadership team, I currently oversee 21 facilities throughout Canada to implement and drive facility and fleet maintenance initiatives, reduce expense, ensure compliancy with national building standards, DOT regulations, H&S and minimizing environmental impacts.
