About Jeff Gill

In the course of serving as a Hospitalist leader for the past 20 years, and practicing as a Pediatric Hospitalist for 20 years, I've developed a keen interest in the "behind the scenes" operations of hospitals, complementing my interest in clinical care. My 8 years in outpatient private practice provided me with an essential perspective for understanding the broader continuum of care. Along the way, I've had the opportunity to support such critical steps as development of evidence-based best practices, implementation of electronic health records, and design and implementation of a host of performance improvement efforts. Though these experiences, I recognize that issues related to communication and practitioner culture lie at the heart of both innovation in healthcare, and not uncommonly, intertia of progress in healthcare. My goal is to help make hospitals better. I plan to accomplish this by helping people communicate more successfully with each other.
