About Jeff Head

I am a certified electronics engineering technologist with many years of experience in the North Warning System (NWS) project. I am proficient in the communications and electronics aspects of the NWS. I have managed employee training for new recruits and offered continuous advice, guidance, and mentorship on duties and best practices. I have developed and provided training in LHCN, GAG, AWOS, RICC, RCS, VMN, long and short range radar, and other electronics related requirements for the North Warning System. When I am not conducting training, I assist with projects. I have most recently completed the installation of AWOS systems, RICC systems, RCS systems, interfacility links, modems, and fiber mux, to name a few. I have worn many hats in the NWS project from training, installations, weather observations, logistics, radar communications, repair, scada operations, and advising new hires. I have worked in the Northern environments of Long and Short Range Radar sites (LRR, SRR), Community based support sites (CBLSS), Depot operations (NWSSC), Control center operations (NWSCC), and finally in the analysis and training departments. I attained the role of Communications Trainer with Raytheon Canada and will conclude employment in March 2022. I am goal oriented and plan on completion of these goals despite the obstacles presented. I enjoy meeting other professionals and discussing the benefits that can be shared between us.
