I worked for the Chicago District IRS office from 1975 to 1981 at which point I moved to IRS' Office of International Operations in Washington, DC. I worked at the IRS International office until I retired on October 1, 2008. I spent the last 14 years of my IRS career working as a tax treaty analyst. I handled income allocation, transfer pricing and residency disputes with counterparts of mine from foreign governments. Most of my experience was with Canadian and German cases. From the end of 2008 until January 2017 I was the owner of Fairways Income Tax Service Inc. I recently retired and Kay and I intend to move to Rehoboth Beach, DE in April 2017. I served as president of Chapter 83 of the National Treasury Employees Union at IRS Headquarters from 1993 to 1998. I participated in arbitration and mediation cases and helped to negotiate telecommuting, employee awards and fitness center contracts for employees in IRS' international office. Specialties: Employment and income tax issues for individuals and small partnerships and corporations. This includes handling IRS audits.
