About Jeff Hunt
Graduating from Laurier University in 1997 with an HBA in Physical Education and a minor in English, I followed my education for 12 years in the fitness industry before transitioning to the law enforcement field. In 2009 I was hired by a Regional Police Service, however declined their offer to join Guardsmark in a senior management role. During my tenure I was provided the opportunity to work alongside several other stakeholders to coordinate the security and police detail associated with the Queen’s visit to Waterloo, Ontario in 2010. In 2010 I became a member of the Laurier Special Constable Service where I served a diverse community within an academic environment - eventually being promoted to the rank of Sergeant. During my tenure, I was accredited through the Ontario Municipal Management Institute as a Level Certified Municipal Manager with a Security Specialist enhancement through OACUSA.As I embark on my next professional chapter with Sun Life as their Program Manager, Incident Reporting Centre I look forward to applying my experience and training while learning from a dynamic and supportive management team.
