As a Full-Stack Software Developer at Reward Gateway, I leverage my expertise in Javascript, Typescript, Go, SQL, Tailwind, Apollo GraphQL, Node, Next, React, and React Native to develop a range of digital products. This includes engaging apps, administrative websites, and mobile solutions tailored to client needs. I have delivered high-quality products to our clients and have independently built attractive, engaging, and production-ready features, end-to-end. I am persistent in ensuring the design and functionality of our product features meet high standards. When production issues arise, I exercise the same persistence to debug and resolve them in a timely fashion. I leverage AI when appropriate to expedite writing coding and quickly resolving development roadblocks. Past Experience: In addition to my software development experience, I have a strong background in program management and international education. I managed 60-70 customized study abroad programs at IES Abroad, working collaboratively with 30+ centers worldwide. I also served as the primary contact for colleges and universities on all matters related to faculty-led and customized programs. Prior to that, I was the Assistant Director of Study Abroad at the University of Miami, managing semester-long and short-term programs in Africa, Asia, and Pacific regions. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Religious Studies, a Master of Science in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration, and a Full-Stack Software Engineering certification from Flatiron School. About me: I am a proud Returned Peace Corps Volunteer where I served in Thailand teaching villagers how to build and operate biogas digesters. I am passionate about global affairs, current events, and tech trends and advancements, particularly in AI. I am an avid reader. Recent favorites include "Return of the Tipping Point" by Malcolm Gladwell and "The Origins" by Elaine Pagels. I absolutely love woodworking and interior design. Given the chance, I would likely let those hobbies occupy all of my spare time. While I love the amenities of city-living, I cherish time and activities in the outdoors, no matter where: beach, woods, mountains, desert, etc. One of my favorite social activities is meeting friends and acquaintances at a diner for breakfast where we can each inexpensive comfort food, and leisurely talk before the day is in full-swing.
