About Jeff Kibert

I am currently the Pharmacy Benefits Management Program Analyst for VISN 8 in the VA Health Care System. I began my public service during Operation Iraqi Freedom having served as a Combat Engineer in the United States Marine Corps. I have had amazing opportunities to train under VA pharmacists across the country through a PGY1 at the Omaha VA Medical Center in Omaha, NE and a 2-year fellowship at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL. I served as a cardiology pharmacy specialist at the Columbia VA Health Care System in Columbia, SC managing an assortment of cardiac conditions in both acute and ambulatory care settings prior to spending a year with VA Salt Lake City in the anticoagulation service. I continue to serve alongside and learn from VA pharmacy thought leaders across the nation by serving on national cardiology and anticoagulation related workgroups. My passion for teaching and learning has continued throughout my VA career and has now expanded into informatics and I recently graduated the VA supported AMIA 10x10 program and have transitioned to full time program management and data analytics. My goal is to utilize the clinical skills I have developed in my career and apply them to the development of innovative population health-based tools, analysis of benefits management, and visualization of data to maximize the impact clinical pharmacists have on patient outcomes. I live in Tybee Island, GA where I am working towards and advanced level of Beach Bum along with my family.
