About Jeff Knutzen

Jeff started in the construction business in the late 70's and through hard work and dedication started his own construction company "Knutzen Construction" in the early 80's. Specializing in the framing of single family, multi-family and commercial buildings in the early years then expanding to the General Contracting of new homes, remodels and additions. Delivering a quality product and excellent customer service were the foundation of Knutzen Construction which kept a steady stream of new and repeat customers. In the late 90's Jeff took a job as a Project Manager for John F. Buchan Construction, Inc. where he oversaw the construction of both single family and multi-family homes. He maintained this position for approximately 4 years then made a lateral move within the company and became a Construction Manager working on acquisitions and development of property's for single family construction. His duties included but were not limited to feasibility studies, land acquisition, estimating and the oversight of development of the properties which included site work, wet and dry utilities installations and street improvements. Jeff now is the Vice President of Barrier Systems LLC, a company that manufactures and sells an innovative new product for creating sandbags for emergency flood control, erosion control, pipeline construction, spill containment or any use where the bagging of materials is needed. Jeff actively markets the product across the entire USA providing live demonstrations and exhibiting in various trade shows. With a USA and China patent already in hand, and patents pending throughout the world, Jeff's goals are to help Barrier Systems LLC grow and achieve great success in the global market place while at the same time providing a critical component for emergency flood relief and response for municipalities, state and federal governments, contractors and private operators.
