Technologist, Serial Entrepreneur and Maker at heart: Effective and accomplished at building and scaling teams, technology & business leadership, product design, product development and supporting architecture. Leadership, design, development, and product vision are my greatest strengths. Having directly lead engineering teams from 3 to 60 and having architectural and technical responsibility for teams well over 200. Much of my experience comes from dynamic, startup environments where flexibility and time to market are paramount. Recently my focus has been on consumer/enterprise centric web and mobile apps, tapping unique capabilities of the platforms to operate smoothly in real-world environments. This includes geocentricity, client/server connectivity, media sharing & micro-services based architectures. After Y! purchased our WebDazzle technology, I became the vision, architect, leader and key code contributor for Y!/GeoCities publishing app: PageBuilder. It was very successful and enjoyed by millions of users worldwide for over 10 years. I was the chief architect of Phoenix BIOS 4.x. The massively successful Phoenix Technologies flagship firmware product deployed in millions of computers worldwide and still in use today. I created and lead the Phoenix Core Architecture Group. With worldwide technical responsibility for BIOS 4.x my team was a critical touchstone for companies like Microsoft, Intel, TI, AMD, HP, Dell. Expertise: Leadership: Build, grow, scale and lead strong nimble technical teams. Architecture: Design scaleable, robust, APIs and systems, full stack and micro-services. Perspective: Consumer and enterprise centric design and delivery sensibilities. Mobile: Mobile first design, iOS and Android, geocentricity, client/server interaction, user generated content.
