I'm a business professional with 20 plus years’ experience in accounting, banking, finance, and business development. I began my career in public accounting as an auditor focused on the banking and finance industry. While working as a CPA with KPMG, I was assigned to a due diligence engagement for GE Capital's acquisition of First Factor out of High Point, NC. This was my first introduction to factoring and non-bank financing. I found the business fascinating and dug into the details of its operations. Little did I know at that time that I would be returning to that same industry nearly 20 years later as a business owner. After the great recession, financing for small to medium sized businesses became even more challenging as the credit markets tightened.
