About Jeff Maggard

I am an experienced English language teacher with broad multicultural experience who has contributed to anti-racist development in public schools (K-12), language schools, corporations, private colleges, public universities and NGOs. I am also a curriculum-development specialist who has created and developed credit-bearing courses in ESL, EFL, ESP, EAP, ICT, sociology, history, political science, linguistics and teacher education. I have taught extensively abroad and conducted research in the USA, East Asia, and the Middle East, which has resulted in the publication of numerous academic articles in several disciplines. I have also authored a variety of grants, chaired a research committee, served as an editor for a number of student magazines as well as a peer-reviewed journal, and was the PI for UNESCO grant in Mongolia and Japan. I am the co-author of two books on Middle Eastern folklore (2014; 2020) and an co-editor of one ESL textbook (2020). In 2022, I co-produced an exhibition with an animated short movie at the National Museum of Qatar. I am an expert in the development and use of mobile learning methods and LMS applications. Moreover, I have a extensive teacher training, public speaking, management and project-coordination experience.
