ATLANTA, GA -(May 4, 2023) – Pond today announced that Jeff Matz has joined the firm’s Aviation Practice as a Client Service Leader. In this role, Matz will be using his extensive experience in air freight cargo operations to build relationships with new clients and service existing accounts. Matz spent 35 years with United Parcel Service (UPS) Airlines where he was instrumental in the selection, development, and design of air cargo sites throughout the U.S. He most recently oversaw airport properties and airport affairs for 40 airports in the United States and managed a SF, four-building office park. Matz served as a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Fuel Committee, and in 2012, was issued a US patent as Inventor of a Fuel Accounting System and Methods (U. S. patent #8,204,802). Earlier in his career, he supported UPS Airline’s westward expansion and was involved in the post implementation of the express freight business in southeast Asia. Matz was also part of an audit and post implementation team ensuring the success of UPS’ expansion into Europe. Pond Principal and Program Manager for Aviation R.
